North Derbyshire Championship - Sept 2026

We had a great day at North Derbyshire for the Championship classes. Rio finished 35th in the jumping round and was eliminated in the agility, but there were still plenty of positives to take away from both runs. And absolutely an improvement on our previous Championships.

He fumbled the weave entry slightly in both jumping and agility, so weave entries will be going onto our winter training list. We also need to keep working on his contacts, particularly his seesaw exits, but I was really pleased with how confidently he looked for the long jump. It caused problems for quite a few dogs, so I was especially proud of him for recognising it and committing to it so well.

Not the final result we were hoping for, but a really useful day with some lovely moments—and a clear idea of what we need to work on over winter.
